The children of gods and goddesses need a special space specially and specifically consecrated to offer offerings, venerate their spiritual guides, Goo mmụọ/ọji Ụtụtụ. Your personal altar is a sacred place meant to talk to your Chi, your Ancestors and entirety of your spiritual guides (Ezumezu Mmụọ). Igo Mmụọ is communicating with the spirits to state our intentions or to request anything from our spirit guides.
THESE ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO TAKE NOTE OF:

7. Always keep the altar clean 24/7.
8. To set up an altar you need items for the 4 elements.
9. Items from your dead relatives as it serves as a link to your ancestors (Ndị Ichie) things like beads, caps, walking stick or pictures.
10. You can use a table or set the altar on the floor. Some hang their altars. Or as your spirit directs you to prepare it.

👉 WATER- Fetch your own water or water of incarnation (Mmiri gị, or Mmiri So Chi gị) If your village does not have any river, then fetch from neighboring, village or Town or Central river ie Ulasi, Niger, Omambala.
👉 EARTH- The sand from your immediate compound or village or town can be maternal or paternal sides.
👉 AIR – 1 Red and 1 white Bird feather for the Altar. (Eagle or Kite) incense, spiritual perfume, fragrances.

4. Avoid over or under pricing.
5. Use appropriate colours for your element.
6. Always cleanse with alligator pepper before you start igo mmụọ or meditation at your altar.
7. Always keep the altar clean.
