Ancestral Foundation is the spiritual root of every human, born and nurtured in this world. Do you know that your foundation matters a lot? Humans live on earth as everyone comes from a kindred that has foundational deities. Foundation is the pillar. The beginning “isi mbido” and end of every human family. It is the head and tail of every single being no matter your tribe, origin and spiritual nature. Many people suffer today as a result of foundational problems either caused knowingly or unknowingly by the family involved. If you are born into ancestral spiritual foundation, then family that has spiritual call. The spiritual call is either from your paternal/ maternal or both sides. The family genealogy can be from great grand father’s or mother’s sides. Depending on how the foundation stands. Therefore, such family has a solid spiritual foundation “agburu ndi ọlụ”, anyone born in such family will never succeed without paying obeisance, attention and being in good terms with their foundational deities in their kindred.

The foundational deities are ancestors (ndị iichie), Akwali or Oda Ọmụmụ (ancestral fertility goddess), Udo, Ogwugwu, Ngene, Ngwụ, Akpu, Orji, Ana Mbala, Arobunagu ndị ichie and Agwụ ndị ichie. These are mainly foundational deities in every existing kindred in the spiritual and physical hemisphere. Are you aware that in every aspect of human existence before you were born, those deities knows you? Your coming, your existence, your mission, your vision everything you were born on earth to do? Including your future however not acknowledging those deities brings about problems. It is the spiritual cause of foundational problem which will affect everyone born in such special spiritual family today. Nobody wins ancestral battle against one’s own root and foundation. It is like shooting yourself on the foot especially when your ancestors are innocent. The experience those ancestors carry in afterlife is nothing compared to this present spiritually unconscious generation. Beware of provoking ancestral warrior’s unending battle. They cannot be defeated rather that family suffers from their stupidity.

We know civilization, western imperialism and enforcement of white supremacy made many families to destroy their ancestral abodes and other ancestral deities because they accepted such impositions from western culture. The advent of religion wrecked havoc on our indigenous spirituality. Africans adopted Christianity with its weird white saints. Ignorance became the norm while propagation and propaganda of being born anew became the order of the day. As a result of “being born again” many kindred committed spiritual atrocities. The end result is such, that every existing human from such foundation can never succeed in life. Many covenants were broken due to demolition of ancestral abodes and shrines. They began to experience massive problems like setbacks,sickness, failure at the edge of breakthrough, Infertility, frustrations, lateness in marriage as a result of spiritual atrocities committed in their kindred.

The consequences of that destruction process permits ancestral spirits to always fight against the progress of everybody in such kindred. It brings foundational curse. Many are suffering today as a result of the mistakes their forefathers and their fathers made. Those mistakes affect many families today. Many kindred abandoned their ancestors which resulted to setbacks on their future generation. Some kindred mowed down spiritual trees, burned Ngwụ Ndị ichie, destroyed their Akwali Ndị Ichie and their ancestral abode (obi ndichie) which gave rise to foundational curse upon their children. It is advisable for this present generation to trace, appease and align with their foundational deities. The deities, if destroyed need to be restored back to be spiritually active. This will cost money for foundational restoration. In so doing, there will be restoration for many families and their offsprings.

Destroying ancestral foundation is a major spiritual issue bedeviling most Igbo homes and communities. It brought anarchy, death, stagnation, spiritual stealing, evil social vices among the youths, insecurity among others. In summary make peace with your ancestors. Apologize to them by carrying out some spiritual rituals with the help of a rooted Dibịa who will consult afa for proper guidance on the way forward, this is for ignorantly whitewashing their beautiful and irreplaceable spiritual legacies and abodes. Do well to participate in appeasing and aligning with them for a better future.
